Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
Oklahoma City is our base of operations, but we are available to travel anywhere in the world!
How many weddings have you shot before?
We’ve shot hundreds of weddings working for ourselves and other videography companies. We would consider ourselves experts, so you are in very good hands.
How do I book you? How do I pay?
Fill out the contact form on our website and we will get with you about booking. We require the deposit upon booking, and the remainder of the balance will be due either once we book our travel or 14 days before the wedding (whichever comes first). We take checks, or you can use Venmo or PayPal. If you need another option for payment just let us know!
Can I create a custom service package?
Absolutely. We have our pre-made services listed on our website, but if you would like something a little more tailor-made, we can do that too. Making something unique and special for you is really the premise of our company!
Can I book you for just day-of wedding coverage?
The short answer is maybe. We prioritize working with clients that share our vision and desire for a feature-length wedding film, but if there is time in our calendar we would love to shoot for you!
Your pricing seems high. What is the reason for that?
Simple! The amount of time, work, and expertise that goes into creating a feature-length wedding film is more than 10 times that of your typical 6min highlight video. If you do the math, we are very reasonably priced. We want true documentary style wedding films to be affordable and attainable, but we also can’t work for free.
What should I expect in a first meeting?
You can rest easy! This will be a very casual meeting. We will be getting to know you just as much as you are getting to know us. You can expect to answer questions like: “how did you meet?”, “what do you like to do for fun?”, or “what would you like to see in the finished film?”. If you don’t feel like we a good fit for you, no worries! We know we are not the only company out there, and we would like to enjoy working with our clients just as much as they want to enjoy working with us.
We are quiet people and are worried about the interview portions. What should we expect? Is there anything we can do to make it better?
Just be yourselves! It’s ok if you are quiet. It’s ok if you are loud. We have seen it all! We have done enough interviews to know how to gently pull your story out of you and get the perfect footage for your film. We also love to shoot these interviews in a place you are comfortable and know well. This can be your home, parents home, work, or we can rent a photo-studio and shoot them there. We want you to feel as relaxed as possible so we can let your thoughts flow. Additionally, we are very chill people who get along with everyone, so no worries; by the end of this whole process we will probably be friends.
What is your videography style?
It’s very documentary style. Our goal is to be easy, flexible, happy, and never pushy or overbearing. We want to capture you two and your guests in your natural habitat. Think of us as animal planet, capturing perfect moments to showcase in your film without you thinking twice about us being there. Wedding can be high stress, and we aim to never add to that, often alleviating by being one less thing you need to worry about.
Why is your drone footage option only “when possible”?
Weather and flight restrictions. We are insured and Part 107 certified to fly, and because of this we have rules and regulations that we are required to follow. If it is too windy, rainy, or conditions are unsafe to fly in, we are not able to take off. If you are getting married near an airport, we will most likely not be able to take off either. Many airports have a no fly zone in and around them, and this can extend for miles. If we are unable to fly the day of the wedding or event, we will do everything we can to capture footage of your venue, city, or the land around it on another day. We fly because we love what drone footage adds to a video, and we always strive to deliver a film we are completely proud of.
Our parents have wedding videos, are you able to incorporate some of that footage?
Absolutely. As long as you are able to share a digital copy of their videos, we will put footage of their weddings in the film.
I saw that you offer screenings at local theaters. What does that entail, and why is the cost subject to availability?
After having films in various film festivals, we are well versed with the specific formats that theaters require their films be in. Much of the time they are not able to run your typical .mp4 format. Converting your wedding film for a theatrical screening takes time and money, and the longer it is, the more it costs. The ballpark of this for a feature is around $1500-$2500. The other side of that is the theater often charges a fee themselves in order to screen your film. I’ve seen local theaters that charge a few hundred and some that charge thousands. The cost just depends on where you live, what theater you want to use, how many people you want to invite, and how long the film is.
You say you are available to travel, how much will that cost?
There are various factors, of course, but you will be charged for the cost of us physically traveling to you: plane tickets, car fees, lodging, and per diem. Depending on location and time of year this can vary greatly, but bear in mind we do not live like kings on work trips (unless of course that is what you want for us!).
